Here are a couple photos of Kate in her (very pink, but very cute!) Easter ensemble!  :)

Spring!

We're really excited for Spring this week!  Things are going well for all of us here.  William started his new job 2 weeks ago and really enjoys it!  Jamie has been back to work for a month now and it's not too bad.  95% of it being 'not too bad' is knowing that we have such great family watching Kate!
Speaking of Kate -- she's so cute!  She is really getting to have a fun personality.  She smiles all the time and has even started to giggle.  She loves to 'talk' with us by making noises and trying to imitate the shapes we make with our lips.  She is almost rolling over and loves to play with (and eat) her hands.
Here are a couple more adorable photos of her!

Not much new to report with us, but we thought we'd post a couple more photos of Kate.  She changes every day!
William was home sick from work for an entire week...he had a nasty sinus infection that moved into his lungs.  Yuck.  But he's feeling much better now!  So far Kate & I have been pretty healthy...
Jamie (unfortunately) went back to work part time this week.  It's really not too bad...I work 3 afternoons a week and Kate has playdates with her aunt & cousins, great-grandma, grandma & daddy.  We're lucky to have family close by who are willing and excited to help us out!
It's hard to believe she'll be 3 months old this week...time flies when you're having fun!

Doctor's Visit

Here's a photo of Kate in the dress William's mom made for her...isn't she a pretty one? :)

So she had her 2 month doctor's appointment about a week ago.  The nurse said how much Kate looks like her daddy. :)  It's always fun to hear that!  Anyway, she weighed in at 8 lb. 2 oz. and was just over 21" long.  Isn't that crazy?  She's 2 months old and still smaller than a lot of newborns.  The doctor said that if she had been delivered on her due date, she'd only be in about the 3rd percentile for height and weight.  But, since she was almost a month early, he said she's in about the 50th percentile for a one-month-old.  She's doing well!  The cool part is that she behaves like a two-month-old in that she smiles, maintains eye contact, and knows who her mom & dad are. ;)

The sad part of the visit was that she had to have 5 shots in her thighs...I couldn't watch!  William held her while the nurse did her work...Kate screamed and cried, and I have to admit that I cried a little bit too!  It's so sad that they don't know what's going on.  But she recovered quickly and hopefully won't remember how bad it was when it comes time for her 4 month shots. :)

She's 2 months old!

So, people aren't kidding when they say time flies when you have kids.  Today is Kate's 2-month birthday -- it seems like it's only been a few weeks!  She's growing bigger (although still pretty small!), eating more and sleeping 8 hours at night!  She has also started smiling -- it's so cute!  We just sit and laugh at her half the time because she makes such funny faces and noises.  This is so much fun!
William has accepted a new job with Zions Bancorporation and will be working as a business analyst for the teller system used by six of the banks affiliated with Zions Bank.  He starts the first week of March and is pretty excited about it!  Jamie is enjoying her last few weeks of maternity leave before returning to work on a part time basis.
We've had two baby showers in the last couple weeks - one from women at church and one from Jamie's co-workers.  Thanks to everyone who was involved...again, people are so generous!  Kate is set for life.
The picture of her in the red dress was taken the day she went to church for the first time!  She was really well behaved and seemed to be mesmerized by the music and lights. No surprise that she was a hit!

Happy New Year!

The new year is off to a good start!  We enjoyed our time visiting with Jamie's family over the holidays, then just a few days later, William's family arrived in Utah to visit their first grandchild (and us, too)!
Aside from constantly staring at Kate, we also managed to get in a couple games of bowling, do a little shopping, celebrate Christmas and go snowmobiling!  It was all fun, but snowmobiling was a blast!  We had never been, and our soon-to-be brother-in-law :) was really interested in going.  We drove to Midway and had a 2-hour 'tour' with plenty of playing around and beautiful scenery (the trails through the trees were gorgeous!).
Kate is getting so cute!  She always was cute ;), but she's starting to develop a bit more of a personality and is SO close to smiling.  She makes noises all the time and loves to snuggle with us (when she's not stretching out all her limbs).  It's hard to believe she's almost 7 weeks old!
A few cute photos this week - one of Kate in her crib with her adorable cousins, one of William's parents' reactions to seeing Kate for the first time, and one of beautiful Kate!

Christmas!

Merry Christmas!
We had a wonderful Christmas day spent with family.  It was amazing to have our first Christmas with Kate!  And Kristen had her second baby this year, so we had 3 little girls to celebrate with!  Christmas is such a special holiday - and to spend it with loved ones makes it that much better.
Also this week Jamie's family from California arrived for a visit.  We've had lots of fun playing games, watching movies, and EATING!  What a great excuse to eat a little more than we should! :)
We hope all of your holidays are going great...and have a Happy New Year!
